Auction and In-Kind Programs Director
Position Purpose:
This person plays a vital role in advancing the Christian mission of Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries by leading the Vision Dinner auction to ensure items are solicited, tracked, packaged and presented in a manner that optimizes funds raised.
This position also includes responsibility for the successful implementation and oversight of all wrap around programs.
The Auction Coordinator will report to this position.
Key Result Areas:
Event & Auction Coordination (Vision Dinner Fundraiser Focus)
- Work with the current Auction Director on the plan and process for event auction donations – receiving, executing, tracking, follow up and goals
- Learn and utilize GiveSmart auction software, including item entry, package assembly, and system transitions.
- Contact donors to secure auction items, confirm details, and ensure proper documentation.
- Support event execution through a team of volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned.
In-Kind and Wrap Around Programs
- Coordinate the logistics of in-kind donations and all wrap-around programs
- Work with the Mentoring Program staff, Director of Volunteerism and the Warehouse staff to determine needs and existing inventory for families, children and wrap-around programs.
- Collaborate with Development and Church Development to identify and confirm individuals, businesses and churches to donate. Then, contact and secure donations.
- In collaboration with the Mentoring Program staff and the warehouse team staff, serve as the point of contact for the logistics and details of executing drives and each wrap around program including reports, numbers, inventory, distribution, and tracking.
- This position may develop further as experience in these duties expands.

Portfolio Development
- Manage a portfolio of auction and in-kind donors
- Develop relationships with donors assigned
- Develop strategies to further engage auction donors to give a donation.
- Develop strategies to track donor progress
- Provide reports showing donor engagement progress

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, CRM management (DonorPerfect); willingness to learn new platforms (e.g., GiveSmart)
