Kitchen Associate / Cook

Hill & Bach Cellars is seeking a dependable and experienced Kitchen Associate / Cook to join our team as we prepare to open our new winery experience in Boerne.

This is a full-time, hands-on kitchen role focused on executing the established menu during afternoon and evening service. The Kitchen Associate / Cook will work under the Chef / Kitchen Manager and will be responsible for preparing and plating food, maintaining food safety and sanitation, and keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and running smoothly throughout service.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the established menu during afternoon and evening service
• Prepare and plate food according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness
• Handle dishes and kitchen cleanup
• Restock ingredients and supplies and complete additional prep as needed
• Assist with opening and closing the kitchen
• Communicate inventory and prep needs to the Chef / Kitchen Manager
• Follow established recipes, portions, and kitchen procedures
• Assist with events and private functions as needed
• Work with the rest of the team to keep daily service running smoothly
• Pitch in with other kitchen and winery needs as needed

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, kitchen, line cook, or similar experience preferred
• Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler Card
• Ability to follow recipes and execute a menu consistently
• Strong attention to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
• Dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently while taking direction from the Chef / Kitchen Manager
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events

Position: Full-Time – Approximately 40 hours/week
Location: Boerne, TX
Schedule: Afternoons and evenings, including weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
Compensation: $20–$22/hour, depending on experience
