Client Service Representative
Highview Veterinary Hospital is a new family-owned small animal veterinary practice in Boerne looking for a warm, organized Client Service Representative (CSR) to be the friendly face and voice of our practice. As one of our first hires, you'll be every client's first impression — in person and on the phone — and play a key role in building the client experience from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Warmly greet clients and patients, and manage a busy front desk and multi-line phone system.
- Schedule appointments, check patients in and out, and keep the day running smoothly.
- Open SOAP notes, relay information between clients and the veterinary team, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collect payments, process transactions, and provide clients with clear, itemized receipts.
- Educate clients on retail and pharmacy products, and support prescription refill requests.
- Keep the reception area clean, welcoming, and well-stocked.
- Handle stressful or emotional situations — emergencies, grief, frustrated clients — with calm and compassion.
- Rotating Saturday half-days required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine compassion for animals and their owners.
- Comfort learning practice-management software and general office technology.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs as needed.
