Bluebonnet Pediatric Therapy provides pediatric occupational, speech, and physical therapy services to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in clinic, community, and school environments. We specialize in providing interventions to address anxiety, attention disorders, challenging behaviors, sensory processing, motor skills, handwriting, self-care challenges, social skills, emotional regulation, functional communication, and picky eating/problem feeding.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Bluebonnet Pediatric Therapy and Bandera School District. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients of all ages to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will assess patients' abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to address their specific needs. 

Duties:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals

- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, strength, and endurance

- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as speech therapists and case managers, to ensure holistic patient care

- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology

- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients of all ages

- Proficient in case management and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist

- CPR certification (preferred)

- Previous experience in occupational therapy preferred but not required
