Day to day as a Police Sergeant

As a Police Sergeant with the City of Fair Oaks Ranch, you will lead a dedicated patrol team focused on community engagement and proactive policing. Your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing complex calls, reviewing reports, and mentoring officers during your 12-hour Panama Shift, all vital to maintaining our standards of safety, professionalism, and service. This role requires a balance of time spent both in the field and at the station, where you will coordinate operations, support investigations, and ensure your team is prepared for any situation that may arise. With rotating day and night shifts every 3–4 months, you'll work alongside colleagues who prioritize trust and accountability while fostering meaningful interactions with the residents.

What you need to be successful

To excel as a Police Sergeant with the City of Fair Oaks Ranch, candidates must possess a comprehensive knowledge of advanced law enforcement operations, policies, and legal standards.
