Kendall County Women's Shelter - General Shelter Volunteers Needed

Looking for a way to give back, have a little fun, and make a BIG difference in the lives of others? Kendall County Women’s Shelter is looking for motivated volunteers ready to share their time, talents, and maybe even a few hidden skills!

Whether you have an hour here and there or a little more time to give, we’re happy to work with your schedule. Every helping hand allows us to create a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for survivors of domestic abuse, their families, and their pets as they begin their next chapter. ��

�� Handy? We always have general maintenance and “honey-do” projects that could use some love.

�� Love making things sparkle? Help us maintain and freshen up our building and common areas.

��️ An organizing guru? We have spaces just waiting for your magic touch!

�� Love to cook? Prepare a meal for our residents and give them one less thing to worry about that day.

�� Love animals? We need volunteers to help keep our kennels clean, comfortable, and ready to welcome our four-legged guests! A clean, cozy space helps ensure that survivors don’t have to choose between their safety and the pets they love. A little time spent helping in our kennels can mean a whole lot to a family starting over, paws and all!

�� Have another talent, hobby, skill, or great idea? Tell us about it! We’re open to creative ways you can share what you do best.

You don’t have to have a special skill to make a difference, just a willingness to help and a heart for our mission.

Every hour given and every talent shared helps us provide a little more comfort, dignity, hope, and a New Beginning to the survivors, families, and pets we serve.
