About Us
Cave Without a Name is a premier natural destination nestled in the heart of the scenic Texas Hill Country, located just eleven miles northeast of Boerne. Designated as a National Natural Landmark, this living cavern offers visitors an awe-inspiring journey through six major rooms filled with spectacular formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, delicate soda straws, and magnificent flowstones.
The cave maintains a comfortable 66-degree temperature year-round, providing a perfect escape from the Texas heat or winter chill. Guests descend 126 steps to approximately 80 feet below the surface, where they can explore easy, well-lit walkways while learning about the unique geology and history of this subterranean masterpiece, which was famously named by a young boy who claimed it was ''too beautiful to have a name.''
Beyond the underground tours, the property provides a comprehensive outdoor experience on its expansive grounds. Above-ground activities include hiking along nature trails, gemstone panning, geode slicing, and bird watching. One of the most distinctive features of the attraction is the Queen’s Throne Room, which doubles as a world-class concert venue. Known for its incredible natural dome acoustics, this space hosts a variety of musical performances throughout the year, ranging from classical to jazz.
Whether visiting for an educational trip, a unique wedding, or a peaceful weekend getaway, the destination combines natural wonder with modern amenities for an unforgettable adventure.
