JOB LOCATION: Chamber Office, 121 South Main St. Boerne, TX 78006
SUMMARY: The Membership Coordinator’s main objective is to provide excellent service to The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce membership and small business community, contributing to membership growth and retention. The Membership Coordinator helps to ensure profitable growth for the Chamber by supporting strategies and member experience through acquiring and maintaining member accounts. This position includes serving as the staff liaison to the Membership/Ambassador Council to achieve goals as set forth President/CEO and the Board’s Strategic Plan. Duties include maintaining an accurate membership database using ChamberMaster, membership sales, and collection of past due accounts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Customer service, sales, or related experience required
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proven experience in a highly metric and fast paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required
  • Willing to execute day-to-day tasks and work independently
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and cooperative work style
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Drive the execution of membership sales in relation to member campaigns, recruitment, renewal, retention, orientation, engagement, and referral programs
  2. Perform closing sales during on‐site visits or through follow‐up phone calls/visits and written correspondence
  3. Track, retain, and prepare accurate reports as requested (to include monthly calls and membership report and others as directed by the Supervisor)
  4. Direct Chamber members in taking full advantage of their membership
  5. Achieve budgeted membership revenue goals
  6. Manage Leads Groups and Ambassador Council
  7. Actively seek new businesses to join the Chamber and follow up appropriately
  8. Broaden awareness of The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce’s mission through advocacy, education, and connection
  9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  10. Attend and support the execution of Chamber events, including some after hours and weekend events
