Operations and Social Media Manager
Under the direction of the President / CEO, this position is responsible for performing and assisting with operational functions, ensuring smooth operations within the organization, and managing media and public relations tasks. This position requires initiative, a professional, energetic, and friendly demeanor. This individual must maintain discretion and confidentiality. This is a full-time position.

•Strong communication skills: this position will communicate regularly with members. Executive Committee of the BKCEDC, corporate leaders, elected officials, and the general public, as well as represent the EDC at a variety of events.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Willingness and ability to handle time-sensitive situations as needed.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as Canva and similar software for social media.
•Basic understanding of bookkeeping and Quickbooks to be able to communicate with bookkeeper.
Position responsibilities:
•Maintains and organizes all files and records.
•Schedule and prepare Board of Directors meetings, EDC meetings or events in conjunction with the President/CEO.
•Create monthly newsletter via MailChimp for membership.
•Assist CEO to prepare annual budget for review.
•Cooperate with bookkeeper to post/pay/transmit AP and AR items.
•Create Member invoices and keep accurate records of all member-related documents.
•Greet visitors, handle inquiries, phone calls and incoming correspondence with positivity and respectful professionalism.
•Works with the IT Consultant, as needed, for office computer/software maintenance or repair and maintain office equipment and supplies.
•Make website updates and minor changes, or coordinate with 3rd party to have website updated as needed.
•Create social media content and manage/track social media accounts.
•Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO
Years of Experience/Education:
•Minimum 2-5 years experience in a similar role and a Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required.
Other Requirements:
•Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation required
•Experience with Non-Profit Organizations preferred
