Summary/Objective

The Center is seeking a highly organized and dedicated Meals on Wheels Coordinator to manage our volunteer drivers, coordinate with meal recipients (clients), and plan routes and daily delivery of meals. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for helping others.

Essential Functions

Recruit, train, and manage volunteer drivers

Coordinate with meal recipients (clients) to ensure accurate meal delivery schedules

Plan daily delivery routes for volunteer drivers

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals

Monitor meal delivery schedules and make necessary adjustments

Maintain accurate records of meal delivery schedules and volunteer driver activities

Collaborate with Director of Client Services to develop and implement program goals and objectives

Participate in fundraising activities to support the program

Ensure compliance with all program and organizational policies and procedures

Provide excellent customer service to meal recipients and volunteer drivers

Supervisory Responsibilities

· MOW Coordinator is responsible for managing the kitchen volunteers and MOW volunteer drivers.

Work Environment

· May be required to drive in all types of weather conditions to deliver meals.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

· Full-time, non-exempt (40 hours per week)

Required Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

· Experience with volunteer management and/or meal delivery programs preferred

· Knowledge of local geography and resources preferred

· Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

· Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)

The Meals on Wheels Coordinator will report to the Director of Client Services and work closely with volunteers, clients, and other staff members to ensure the success of the program.
