Worship Technology Coordinator

The Worship Technology Coordinator oversees the worship technology ministry of the St. John Lutheran Church.  Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and maintaining worship technology throughout church property, including the Sanctuary, Historic Chapel, Family Life Center, Luther Hall, classrooms, and other meeting areas
  1. Coordinating use of A/V resources for events in those areas by:
     1. Scheduling A/V operators as necessary, or
     2. Training qualified members and guests on how to use the equipment, at the discretion of the Worship Technology Coordinator and Executive Pastor
  2. Serving as the point of contact for equipment and software issues related to worship technology, including troubleshooting during worship services and special events
  3. Maintaining worship-related software and hardware
     1. Updating software and drivers
     2. Coordinating with our IT vendor, Gigahertz, to obtain expert help when needed
     3. Communicating need for new software and hardware to the Executive Pastor
     4. Installing new software and hardware

 

• Overseeing the Livestream Operators, Sound Engineer, Cameramen, and Slide Operators
  1. Scheduling and training the Slide Operators
  2. Coordinating with the Sound Engineer, Livestream Operator, and Cameramen to ensure coverage each Sunday, for holidays, and for occasional services such as weddings, funerals, school programs, Lenten services, etc.
  3. Serving as a back-up Sound Engineer, Slide Operator, or Livestream Operator when necessary

 

• Leading the weekly A/V Team meetings to prepare the Pastors and A/V team for Sunday worship and upcoming special services or events

 

• Assisting Staff as the first point of contact for church- and office-related tech help.
  • Troubleshooting problems and, when necessary, communicating those problems to our IT vendor, Gigahertz.

 

• Create and manage social media profiles and content creation

The Worship Technology Coordinator reports to the Executive Pastor.
The Worship Technology Coordinator is a part-time position of approximately 10-15 hours per week, including Sunday mornings 7:30am—12:30pm.  Certain seasons of the year (e.g. Holy Week, Christmas week) will require more hours.
