Physician Assistant
Hill Country Mission for Health (HCMH)
Location: Boerne, Texas
We are seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant to join Hill Country Mission for Health (HCMH), a nonprofit clinic providing primary care to underserved adults in our community. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by helping patients manage chronic conditions, navigate healthcare, and improve their overall health.
Essential Functions:
- Provide primary care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common chronic and acute health conditions
- Manage patient care using limited resources, including labs, medications, and referrals
- Refer patients for specialty care, mental health, women’s health, or emergency services as needed
- Educate patients and families to support informed health decisions
- Document care accurately in our electronic medical record system
- Participate in staff meetings, community outreach, and clinic events
- Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Strong computer skills; EMR experience helpful
- Compassion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work independently in a small clinic setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience serving underserved or uninsured populations
