The successful candidate will work on electric utility make-ready projects for our utility Clients across the region.  The position involves performing field audits of existing telecommunication and electrical facilities.  The ideal candidate will possess electric distribution and telecommunication audit skills and experience.  However, no experience required.  We will train the right candidates!

Responsibilities

  •     Perform field audits of existing telecommunication and electrical distribution facilities
  •     Visually identify, inspect, and record equipment and structures using detailed field notes
  •     Execute and plan daily goals while meeting quality, time, and budget constraints
  •     Learn and operate customer based proprietary software and other computer systems to expedite and facilitate data collection
  •     Work with private landowners and governing authorities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  •     Capability of documenting detailed audit data in field books
  •     Time Management skills
  •     Ability to prioritize and manage changing priorities
  •     Ability to use Microsoft Office software to include Excel, Outlook, and Word and other software applications as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  •     High school diploma
  •     Valid Texas Driver’s License
  •     Ability to travel working 95% in the field, 5% in the office. Field work will involve traversing difficult and uneven terrain on foot
  •     Ability to spend 3-5 nights per week in a hotel room
  •     Ability to use computer systems, entering data and processing information
  •     Ability to organize and set priorities, handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and changing environment and meet deadlines
  •     Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and extended work schedules such as 8 days on duty, 6 days off duty
  •     Knowledge of National Electric Safety Code a plus
  •     Knowledge of GIS Mapping Systems a plus
