Part-time Teller/Customer Service Representative

Job Description
Part Time Teller position is 4 hours a day/20 hours a week, Monday through Friday 7:15am-11:15am and Saturday rotation (once every 4 weeks) 9:00am-12:00pm.

The Teller/Customer Service Representative is a key role in helping THB to deliver on our vision of providing trusted financial advice and service to our customers. While this role will allow you to build lifelong relationships with our customers, it will also allow you to demonstrate leadership through contributing to our bank’s culture and supporting customers in achieving their financial goals. As part of the THB team, you will play a vital role in living out our commitment to the highest ethical standards and maintaining the valued trust of our customers and communities.

 
The part time Teller/Customer Service Representative provides prompt quality completion of teller transactions along with support to other team members.  This position will require the performance of a wide range of services including effectively running a cash drawer/box,  account servicing/maintenance and problem resolution. Cross-sell products/services when appropriate.
 
Desired Qualifications 
  • 6 months previous cash handling experience such as a cashier,  preparing deposits or handling store revenue
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Good communication skills including speaking clearly, succinctly, and accurately while using a pleasant tone and common conversational courtesies
  • Experience assessing and meeting the needs of customers
  • Experience achieving individual and team goals
  • Experience interacting positively with unsatisfied customers
  • Experience solving customer problems/concerns
 
Specific Duties to include (but not limited to):
  • All facets of teller transactions including but not limited to balancing a cash drawer, paying and receiving, issuing cashier’s checks, processing loan payments, cashing savings bonds  
  • Daily balance of vault
  • Weekly balance of ATM machine
  • Ordering branch cash and dual control verification processes
  • Light customer service such as but not limited to increasing card limits, giving balances, transfer of funds, initiating stop payments
 
 
 
  • Assist with other back office teller functions such as balance the daily recap, perform cash audits, verify bait straps/bait money
  • Effectively answer incoming calls
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Officer
