Legal Secretary
McCammon Law, a top-rated Hill Country estate planning firm, is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, warm personality, professional demeanor, and the ability to create a positive first impression for all who interact with the firm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer and route incoming calls to the appropriate staff member
- Address client inquiries and provide basic information about the firm’s services
- Make follow-up calls, respond to voicemails and emails promptly
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendar for firm attorneys and staff
- Email contracts, process client payments, and handle incoming/outgoing mail
- Create, organize, and maintain digital and physical files
- Print and scan documents
- Maintain lobby, client waiting area, and conference rooms
- Work with other staff and attorneys as a team to ensure smooth office operations
- Perform other administrative tasks, legal tasks under attorney supervision, and special projects as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven success in an administrative role in a high volume, fast-paced setting
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Punctual and reliable
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with clients, vendors and visitors
- Strong attention to accuracy and details
- Able to multi-task and organize work in order of priority
- Ability to collaborate with other staff as a team and work independently on assigned tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Gmail; experience with Mac computers or Clio, or ability to quickly learn them
Position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break (37.5 hours per week). Performance review with potential for pay increase available after one year.
Role expansion and/or promotion may also be available if business growth continues at current levels.
Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
