Front Desk Receptionist – Full Time (40 hours/week)
In-Office, Monday through Friday
 
Brock Upham Yost & Strieber, PLLC is seeking a dependable, personable, and professional receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients and visitors. The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, service-oriented, and enjoys helping others while maintaining a welcoming and organized office environment.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Greet clients in a warm and professional manner and provide exceptional client service by creating a welcoming and positive first impression for every visitor and caller
  • Manage multi-line telephone system; answer, screen, and forward incoming calls
  • Take and distribute accurate and detailed messages for staff members when they are unavailable
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and couriers, and prepare outgoing mail and packages; maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing documents, mail, and packages
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, and other software applications to support daily office operations
  • Manage conference room scheduling and reservations
  • Maintain cleanliness of reception area, common guest spaces, and all conference rooms, keeping them tidy and presentable at all times
  • Assist with a variety of administrative tasks; including scheduling appointments, copying, scanning, faxing, filing, and data entry
  • Monitor and coordinate maintenance of printers, phones, and other office equipment, including ordering supplies and scheduling service calls as needed
  • Monitor and restock all office supplies, stationery, and breakroom inventory
  • Manage relationships with service providers, including cleaning services, IT providers, and telecommunications vendors
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance and dependably manage front desk coverage throughout business hours
  • Additional tasks as assigned

Because the receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for the firm, dependable attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and exceptional client service are essential functions of this position.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of one year of prior office experience
  • Strong commitment to providing outstanding client service and assisting others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe and MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using standard office equipment, including printers, scanners, copiers, and multi-line telephone systems
  • Ability to multitask and manage a busy front desk and phones while assisting staff
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities without close supervision
  • Demonstrate initiative and anticipate the needs of clients, attorneys, and staff
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and highly accountable with a demonstrated history of reliable attendance and punctuality
