STRONG TOWNS IN BOERNE

The mission of Strong Towns is to support a model of development that allows American’s cities, towns and neighborhoods to become financially strong and resilient. “We aim to inspire individuals to ask a different set of questions about the way their towns are built, and to encourage you to demand a better approach in the places you love.”

This happens by asking new questions about old problems: Housing, Schools, Roads, Parking and Growth. It happens by questioning the status quo.

Please join us for a thought-provoking presentation luncheon from Terry Mitchell, President of Momark Development L.L.C. based in Austin, TX. (www.momarkdevelopment.com)

Terry is heavily involved in the planning and development of various residential and mixed-use real estate developments involving approximately 6,500 residential units and related mixed-uses.   Projects include The Tyndall at Robertson Hill, The Austonian (development consultant and marketing manager), the Denizen, Plum Creek, Chestnut Commons, Edgewick, Gabardine, Macmora Cottages and The Sanctuary Lofts.

Mr. Mitchell’s focus is largely set upon urban residential or mixed-use projects that create unique communities offering extraordinary lifestyles.    From The Austonian to Chestnut Commons to The Tyndall, each community has a unique and special personality.

Prior to his arrival at Momark, Mr. Mitchell served in a number of management positions including as Vice President of Milburn Homes (D.R. Horton, Inc. division). In his 20-plus years in real estate, Mr. Mitchell has developed over 20,000 residential units and over $3 billion in residential community value.

Mr. Mitchell is a past President of the Real Estate Council of Austin, and previously served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for 13 years. He also has served on the Board of Hill Country Conservancy, the Austin District Council for the Congress for New Urbanism and the Austin Chamber of Commerce.  the District Council for ULI.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of HousingWorks Austin, is the past Co-Chair of the ULI Housing & Community Development Council and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Capital Metro, on the Transportation Policy Board of Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), on the Regional Affordability Committee for Central Texas, and on the Code Advisory Group Committee.
