Ribbon Cutting for THRU Project

Join us for a ribbon cutting celebrating THRU Project!

THRU Project bridges the gap between foster care and adulthood for youth who age out of the foster care system. THRU Project provides youth with a history or foster care, ages 14 to 25, with a caring mentor, rent-free housing, mental health support, life skills workshops, bus passes and cell phones. Since it's start in July 2011, THRU Project has assisted nearly 1,000 youth in the San Antonio area. THRU Project recently launched the Heart Gallery initiative, which serves Kendall County and the surrounding Hill Country as a travelling portrait exhibit featuring youth in foster care in search of their forever families.
