Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy
Forest Bathing
Forest Bathing or Shinrin-yuko and Forest Therapy or Shinrin-yoho are research-based practices allowing people to slow down from their daily lives and enjoy healing through participation with the natural world. We will guide you through interactions designed to improve your relationships with others and the more-than-human world. The outcome of your walk depends on you and your unique connection and interaction with the natural world.
Forest Therapy
Our Forest Therapy walk will take place along the Woodlands Trail, the Cibolo Nature Center.
We will meet in the parking lot, complete some forms, and prepare for our walk that will take approximately two hours and cover one and a half miles. There are spots on the trail that are a little rocky, and we recommend closed-toe shoes or boots to protect your feet and ankles. Please bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, and anything else you might enjoy having with you. There are some places to sit, but we will be on our feet most of the time.
