Butterfly Bonanza +bats +bees at the Science Mill
April 10, 2020 Butterfly Bonanza at the Science Mill Spend your day off surrounded by butterflies! Butterfly Bonanza (+ Bats & Bees) returns to the Science Mill on Friday, April 10. Through up-close encounters and hands-on activities, learn why these dainty flyers – along with bees and bats – are crucial to the local ecosystem. Hundreds of butterflies wait to greet you inside the Aquaponics Greenhouse. Receive a butterfly to release in the outdoor Butterfly Garden (while available), and make wildflower seed bombs to plant at home to attract pollinators. Marvel at the monarch’s epic migration in Flight of the Butterfly 3D (one day only!) and get a “bat’s eye view” of what it’s like to navigate with echolocation. Plus, purchase or renew any Science Mill membership on April 10 and pick out a FREE book on butterflies, bats or bees! Butterfly Bonanza activities will run from 11am-2pm, the museum will be open 10am-4pm. Contact: info@sciencemill.org Location: Science Mill, 101 S.
