Boerne Book Festival 2024
The Boerne Book Festival takes place Saturday, October 5, on Boerne’s beautiful Hill Country Mile with a celebration of all things literary, including author discussion panels, children’s activities, and more. The festival will take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Boerne’s Main Plaza. It’s the signature program facilitated by the Patrick Heath Public Library. As always, the festival focuses on Texas and its rich history. The Writers’ League of Texas opens the morning with their “Obsessed with Texas,” panel discussion featuring novelists Amanda Churchill, Scott Semegran, and James Wade. We’ll also feature bestselling author Elizabeth Crook and her new novel “The Madstone,” which is partially set in Kendall County. There will be panel discussions on D-Day, Texas journalists, and German Texans at this year’s festival. For kids, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators will have a tent full of children’s book authors. The Book Fairy will be on hand, once again, in this tent. She’ll have activities for kids. Multi-talented and award-winning authors Carmen Tafolla and Diana López are joining us this year to present their latest books for kids and young adults. Some of our vendors at this year’s festival include: Texas Tech University Press, Trinity University Press, the Kendall County Historical Commission, the San Antonio Sci-Fi and Fantasy Writers, the South Texas Authors of Romance, and more.
