Their practice is committed to promoting a lifetime of healthier skin while emphasizing skin cancer awareness\, prevention\, early detection and treatment.\n\n\n\nDr. John Martin IV is a board certified dermatologist\, a native Texan\, and the newest member of the Desilva Dermatology team! He is a graduate of Texas A&M University\, and completed medical school at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio with Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honors. He completed his dermatology residency at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and was Chief Resident from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Martin has numerous publications and his affiliations include the American Board of Dermatology\, American Academy of Dermatology and is currently co-president of the San Antonio Dermatological Society. He specialized in medical/surgical dermatology and also practices in the Medical Center. In his spare time\, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children\, playing guitar and many outdoor activities.
