DESCRIPTION:Our October Healthcare Connection is presented by Crest Home Health! VFW Members\, Dr. Arkangel and John Thomas will present the facts on the Veterans Community Care Program. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) launched its new and improved Veterans Community Care Program on June 6\, 2019\, implementing portions of the VA Maintaining Internal Systems and Strengthening Integrated Outside Networks Act of 2018 (MISSION Act)\, which both ends the Veterans Choice Program and establishes a new Veterans Community Care Program.\n\n\n\nHealthcare Connection fosters business and professional development relationships through regular meetings for the purpose of improving patient care while supporting community partners in healthcare. Members educate the group about their unique skills\, products\, and services and actively refer patients to each other. We also encourage members to meet one-on-one outside the regular meeting times.
