SUMMARY:Greater Boerne Water Forum & Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:2nd Annual Greater Boerne Water Forum & Luncheon\n\n\n\nSponsored by the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce\, City of Boerne\, Kendall County Economic Development Corporation and Kendall County.\n\n\n\nHere's what we are doing:\n\nThe Chamber's Board of Directors have passed a resolution in support of Proposition 6 and will share it with legislators.\n\n\n\nWe are educating our membership and the community by providing information enabling them to go to the ballot box fully prepared in November. Copies of Chapter 3 of the WATER FOR TEXAS 2012 STATE WATER PLAN are available in the Chamber's lobby\, 121 S. Main Street in Boerne. It provides facts and projections about population growth and water demands. Click here for the link to this section and you can download it to your PC.\n\n \n\nWe are engaging our community by partnering with the City of Boerne\, Kendall County and Kendall County EDC in presenting the 2013 Greater Boerne Water Forum and Luncheon on October 24th at the Boerne Convention and Community Center. Mark your calendars for that date because it will be a "must attend" event leading up to the passage of Proposition 6 on November 5. Panelists will include Heather Harward\, Executive Director of H2O4TEXAS Advocacy out of Austin\, Steve Clouse (SAWS)\, David Welsch (GBRA)\, and Dr. Les Shepard (UTSA). Tommy Matthews\, representing Cow Creek and GBRA will serve as moderator. There will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A too.\n\n\n\nThe 2013 legislative session was good for business and the momentum must be maintained. November 5 will arrive quickly so we must move purposefully to ensure the voice of the business community is heard and the needs of Texas are met. Let's keep moving forward together.
