Adopt a Box, Make a Difference
Dance Fairies is registered 501(c)(3), a non-profit organization founded by a passionate young dancer. Our organization's sole mission is to spread the joy of dance to aspiring young dancers in the community and around the world. Over four years ago, we embarked on our journey, and in that short time, we were able to collect and redistribute thousands of gently used costumes, leotards, and all types of dance attire to aspiring dancers near and far. After the performances and competitions, dance costumes usually end up in closets taking up space and collecting dust. This is where the Dance Fairies organization comes in! Not only are we giving those costumes a second chance to sparkle on stage again, but we are sharing our love of dance with those less fortunate and also reducing the impact on environmental resources.
Unfortunately, the shipping costs remain our number one expense and the most limiting factor in our ability to deliver dance costumes to children around the United States and the world. We have boxes full of beautiful costumes that are waiting to be shipped. But we need YOUR help!
Are you looking for a chance to volunteer and help those in need? Our "Adopt a Box, Make a Difference" fundraising campaign is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those young dancers. It costs around $50 to $250 to send one box of costumes, depending on the weight and destination. Would you be willing to adopt a box by covering a shipping cost and helping those costumes reach little children in need who are anxiously awaiting those costumes? We would love your help and support!
So what exactly can you do?
- Contact us at contact@dancefairies.org, and we will help you select and adopt the box, or even two if you like.
- Get creative with the ideas on how to raise funds to cover the cost of your adopted box. "Adopt a Box, Make a Difference" campaign is a great way for young people to show their leadership skills! Be proactive, reach out to your friends and connect with other like-minded young people or members of your community.

- Please send us your information or even a photo of yourself and a short letter to the children who will be receiving that box.
The success of Dance Fairies' mission depends on YOU and YOUR IDEAS! Your efforts will bring happiness to others, but you will receive the biggest satisfaction knowing that you have brought smiles to their faces. Remember, WE ALL HAVE MAGIC INSIDE US! The magic just needs an avenue to express itself. We need YOU to help us create the magic of sharing the joy and love of DANCE!
As soon as we ship your adopted box, you will receive the tracking information.
For young students who need service hours, for every $10 they will raise during this campaign and donate to the Dance Fairies organization, they will receive one volunteer service hour. The certificate can be emailed directly to them or their school. For example, if they raise $60, they will be awarded six service hours.
