The Leadership Boerne flagship program wants to cordially invite you to the Graduation Luncheon for the Class of 2017. Keynote speaker is Texas Supreme Court Justice Jeff Brown.
Jeff Brown has been a justice on the Supreme Court of Texas since 2013. Before coming to the Supreme Court, Justice Brown served for six years on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston, and before that for six years as judge of the 55th District Court in Harris County. Throughout his judicial career, Justice Brown has consistently earned outstanding marks in state and local bar polls. In 2010, he was named Appellate Judge of the Year by the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists. He also won two judge-of-the-year awards while serving on the trial bench.
A sixth-generation Texan, Jeff was born and raised in Dallas County where his father was a police officer for 35 years. Active in Scouting for most of his life, Jeff became an Eagle Scout at age 16 and is now the father of an Eagle. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he met his wife, Susannah, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center.
Jeff has been active in state and local bar activities and in his community. He has served on several non-profit boards, including the Texas Historical Foundation and the Christian Community Service Center, and on the advisory board of LifeHouse of Houston. He and Susannah, a schoolteacher, have three children, Kathleen, Rob, and Gus. They live in Kyle where they attend The Journey United Methodist Church.
